Day 98 – Lavers Hill to Queenscliff

Despite a rather cold first hour, today has been very good. The Great Ocean Road has provided some incredible riding and is definitely worth a visit. Even in the less-than-good weather, it was still stunning.

Any cyclists thinking of coming over to Australia – around Adelaide is probably the place to be, but I thoroughly recommend riding from Warrnambool to Anglesea (and back I guess if you drove to get there). Stunning scenery, challenging climbs, relatively quiet roads and well surfaced all the way… it’s been a good day.

Other than that, I saw a couple more wallabies but that’s about it. I’m afraid I must end it there as I’m a tad tired, but rest assured, I’m in a good mood.

Oh, and I hit 10,000 miles today… Only 8000 to go

Distance: 112.4 miles / 180.8 km
Riding Time: 7:11:23
Av. Speed: 15.6 mph / 25.1 kph
