Today was cold and pretty wet. Despite the weather forecast saying ‘showers’, I was somehow soaked all day. I have discovered that even if it only rains for a few minutes; when it rains – you know about it. The wind didn’t fancy helping me today either.
Not all that much happened throughout the morning, although I did get the fright of my life when I mistook a toy snake for a real one. My overly dramatic swerve probably looked rather odd to anyone watching.
The remainder of the ride was much of the same – cold, wet but still fairly enjoyable. I also saw a very funny looking animal, which, after some assistance from Google and someone slightly more intelligent, I have identified as a Spinifex Hopping Mouse. I’ve also learned that the Red-tailed Black Cockatoo is endangered so I thought I’d let any bird-lovers know that I saw some of them just over a week ago; I just didn’t think it was interesting enough to mention at the time… or if I did mention it then I’ve forgotten.
The waitress who served my dinner this evening deserves a special mention. Although not necessarily for the right reasons. To be fair to her (maybe him), she did a decent job and I don’t mean to criticise her waitressing skills… (apart from the interacting with other people part.) I think ‘forceful’ is a good way to describe her and I’ll leave it at that.
I’m not completely sure what tomorrow holds, but somehow I doubt it will be 20 degrees and sunny.
